What we collect
Public data only. For creators we track, that means:
- Channel or account name and handle
- Subscriber or follower count
- Public engagement metrics (views, upload frequency, activity)
We never collect private data, contact details, or anything that isn't already visible on your public profile. We don't access DMs, emails, or anything behind a login.
Why we collect it
Veltrace tracks daily momentum for public creator accounts on YouTube and Twitch, and turns that into a trend score used by talent managers and agencies deciding who's worth reaching out to. The purpose is to replace guesswork with actual trend data — not to profile individuals, and not for anything beyond commercial deal-screening.
Our legal basis
We process this data under "legitimate interests" (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — it's public data, used for a clear business purpose, and it doesn't involve anything sensitive. We've weighed this against your right to privacy and believe daily-updated public metrics, used only for deal-screening context, is a proportionate use.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you exactly what data we hold on your channel
- Remove your channel from tracking entirely
- Correct anything inaccurate
Just email qwerty224@live.co.uk with your channel name and we'll action it within a reasonable time, no questions asked.
Questions
If anything here isn't clear, or you want to talk about how Veltrace uses your data, email qwerty224@live.co.uk directly. We're a small team and we'll actually reply.
